Rogers Pass, Montana, US-(69.7)


Rogers Pass is a narrow valley bordered by many mountains, Situated on the continental divide in the U.S. state of Montana on 5,610 feet (1,710 m) above sea level. Rogers Pass is the place of the coolest temperature ever recorded in the United States on January 20, 1954 a low temperature of−70 °F (−57 °C). The mountains of western Montana are the coolest place in this pass. Montana has more weather stations reporting extremely low temperatures than anywhere else in the world with combination of high latitude with high elevation. On the coolest month of March and April Roger Pass offers multi-day sky touring for visitors.

Fort Selkirk, Yukon, Canada-(74.0)

Fort Selkirk is another coolest place among these list coolest places in the World. In 1950 this town was roughly deserted because of the harsh freezing climatic conditions. But today, it has been alive somehow due to some positive appropriate actions prepared at this place. There is no road access so that it can only be reached by boat or by air. The coldest month of Fort Selkirk is January.

Prospect Creek, Alaska, US-(79.8)

Prospect Alaska was somehow expanded because of the construction of trans-Alaska. But now when the weather conditions are even severe, this place has become much smaller than before. Eismitte, Greenland –(84.8) 


Eismitte, Greenland is the coolest place in the world located in Greenland. Eismitte means Mid-Ice in English; it was a site in the interior Arctic side of Greenland. In German, Eismitte means Ice-Center. Literally, this place is meant to be the perfect place delivering a perception of ice around everywhere at this place, Eismitte. The coldest month is February of this place. The coldest extreme temperature recorded in Fahrenheit was -84.8F and -64.9C in Celsius. Eismitte is the name of a research station erected in 1933 by a German expedition. A temperature of -64.9 degrees Celsius (-84.8 degrees Fahrenheit) was recorded by the expedition.

Northice, Greenland-(86.8)

North Ice is known as a deserted research station once occupied by the British North Greenland Expedition between 1952 and 1954. The research station was located on the inland ice of northern Greenland, and recorded a temperature of -66 degrees Celsius (-86.8 degrees Fahrenheit) in January of 1954.This place comes on the fifth number among the top coolest places in the world. Verkhoyansk, Russia –(89.8)


Verkhoyansk is a town situated on the Yana River in Siberia, Russia. This town is well-known for its low temperatures, and the lowest recorded there was -67.7 degrees Celsius (-89.9 degrees Fahrenheit) in 1892. The town has recorded a temperature as high as 37.3 degrees Celsius ( 99 degrees Fahrenheit) in summer. It is a town which experiences great differences between the extreme summer season and the peak of winter season. The temperature changes with the alternation of the seasons with the passage of time. However, it is one the coldest place in the winter season and the winter time is more than the summer time in Verkhoyansk. The coolest month of this place is the month of July.

Oymyakon, Russia –(96.0)

The lowest recorded temperature for any permanently occupied settlement was '71.1 degrees Celsius (-96 degrees Fahrenheit) at Oymyakon in Siberia in 1933. This is the coldest temperature ever recorded in the Northern Hemisphere. Oymyakon is in a valley in the Khrebet Mountains. It is a valley in the Khrabet Mountains and a village in Sakha Republic of Russia. This is another but colder area of Russia again than Verkhyansk. This place again experiences extreme subarctic climate with long lasting winters for a longer period of time. The coldest month of this Russia’s place is the month of February.

Plateau Station, Antarctica –(119.2)



Plateau Station is a mothballed American research and staging station on the central Antarctic Plateau. The station was closed in 1969, but the previous year’s recorded a temperature of '84 degrees Celsius (-119.2 degrees Fahrenheit). This is a mothballed American Research and theatrical production station on the Antarctic Plateau. The station was closed in 1969 and the coolest month at this place is the month of July. The extreme coldest temperature in Fahrenheit recorded was -119.2F and in Celsius was -84C.

Vostok, Antarctica –(128.6)


This is the top coolest place among the other entire coldest places on the earth located in Antarctica. This is an Antarctic Russian research Station. This pole of cold is on the Southern side of Russia experiencing the coldest temperature ever. This place has the lowest authentication for the normal natural measured temperature of the atmosphere on the Earth. The coldest month is the month of August in Vostok.
