The Cheapest Travel Destinations In Asia

Vietnam
Vietnam is a fresh Discovery in The world’s most exotic destinations for all over the world. In Vietnam visitors are amazed with its stunning beaches, tropical landscapes, skyscrapers, vibrant majestic palaces, kings' tombs and folk culture. Vietnam is a developing and compared to other countries in the region, it is the cheapest Travel destination in Asia to travel and living. From dining to lodging Vietnam has something to offer according to your budget. You can get delicious meal for US$1 or less on Surfing the street stalls and markets. Local restaurants are more comfortable and you can eat well for between US$2 and US$5. Dining in Vietnam always offers top value for money. Bus travel is also a fine option for low budget travellers. While fares of public buses between major destinations are fixed, travelling by bus to most distant areas means bargain. Lodging is none of matter in Vietnam. Just make sure not to hesitate to negotiate for a discount in low season. 

Indonesia

Bali, Indonesia, situated in Southeast Asia is popular for striking world-class surfing and diving, contains a large number of cultural, historical and archaeological attractions, and an enormous range of accommodations. The cost of travelling Bali is cheaper than the cost of Travelling in other parts of Asia. You can find great accommodation, food and transportation and other necessities at very reasonable price.  Bali has something to offer a very broad market of visitors from young back-packers right through to the super-rich. Accommodations, really depends on the preferences, it could be from US$2 for budget ones and US$200+ for high 4-5* hotels in Bali. Bali offers lots of choice for accommodation from the luxury until the lowest one which more popular called LOSMEN/GUEST HOUSE for budgeted travellers.

 Bhutan

Bhutan has become an increasingly popular destination for international tourists with magnificent mountains, dense forest, fresh air and stunning architecture. It is cheapest Travel destination in Asia for nature lovers, adventurous and lively people. Bhutan is the only Vajrayana Buddhist nation in the world. Tourism in Bhutan is managed through partnership of government regulators and private travel agencies under a policy summed up by the mantra ‘high value, low impact’. The minimum daily tariff is set by the government of Bhutan and cannot be negotiated. High Season Tariff US$200 per person per night. Low Season Tariff US$165 per person per night. 

 Thailand

Thailand is the most popular and cheapest tourist destination in Southeast Asia. A survey by the Economist newspaper ranked Bangkok's cost of living at only 57% of that of New York, and certainly it's true that is possible to live very cheaply. Although a little more expensive than neighbouring countries of Laos and Cambodia but it’s cheaper than Singapore and Philippines. Food at Thailand ranges from 1.5 to 6 USD baht depending on your dish in a restaurant. Guest houses are usually available at $4 – 15 while five star hotels can be had for as little as $50. Buses, trains and low cost flights are all very affordable in Thailand that depends a lot on what type of traveller you are and how much travelling you plan to do. 

Philippines

Philippines is a popular destination for its beautiful islands, striking beaches, amazing volcanoes, world-class diving spots and unique wildlife. The Philippines is a diverse country just like Singapore that covers 299,764 sq km (115,831 sq mi) and comprises 7107 islands on the western Pacific Ocean, considered to be Asia's largest Catholic country. The Philippines is a little more expensive than Thailand or Indonesia, but still quite reasonable for Western tourists.  A stay in a hotel would cost as low as $30 or, a flight to Cebu from Manila and vice-versa will cost $35

Cambodia

Cambodia is a Southeast Asian nation and popular for its Ancient temples, empty beaches, mighty rivers, remote forests ...and (outside Angkor) only a handful of tourists. The cost of travelling in Cambodia runs the full gamut from almost free to outrageously expensive depending on taste and comfort. Budget travellers with an eye on enjoyment can live it up on US$20. Midrange travellers can turn on the style with just US$75 to US$100 a day, staying in smart places, dining well and travelling in comfort. A hotel stay / restaurant dinner that cost 50 dollars/euro in Cambodia would costs about 82 dollars/euro in the USA.  Meals start from about US$3 at the cheaper places, more like US$10 with drinks at the smarter ones, and US$50 and beyond are possible if you go wild with the wine list. Small budget, big budget, it doesn't really matter; Cambodia is the place to be. Soak it up in style.

Singapore

Singapore is a microcosm of Asia, populated by Chinese, Malays, Indians, and a large group of workers and expatriates from all across the globe. It is one of the most preferred tourist destinations for travelers across the world Singapore is one of the relatively expensive countries in south eastern Asia but compared with the West, things like food, accommodation and clothes are still cheap for the visitors. A hotel stay / restaurant dinner that cost 50 dollars/euro in Singapore would costs about 50 dollars/euro in the USA. Hotels and restaurants in Singapore are about 12 percent cheaper than the world Singapore is undoubtedly one of the best in Asia. Your bus fare could range from S$0.71 to S$1.80 for each trip. In general, prices in Singapore are about twice as high as in Malaysia and Thailand and 3-5 times as high as in Indonesia and the Philippines.Hawker centres is the cheapest and most popular place to eat in Singapore.

Laos

This land-locked mountainous country is gaining a reputation as an ecotourism destination. Laos has become popular with tourists for its relaxed style of living and reputation for having elements of the "original Asia" lost elsewhere. Laos is an inexpensive country to visit by almost any standards.  Not including transport, a budget of US$15 a day brings with it decent food and comfortable, but basic, accommodation. When you add air-con, hot water and falang (Western) food, costs are around US$20 to US$25 per day if you economise, and around US$75 for top-end hotels and food. The food here is similar to Thailand, but less eclectic and with less variety as well. But cheap—a dollar or two will fill your tummy with rice, veggies and a bit of meat.

India

India is the most favoured tourist attraction for its diverse geography. India with its ancient heritage, magnificent architecture, diverse culture, warm hospitality and varied geography, renders tourist expectation, and therefore, is the most acknowledged tourist destination in the world. India is a relatively cheapest travel destination in comparison to the other countries in Asia. You can travel as grandly or as cheaply as you wish. Accommodation (the big cities are more expensive than smaller towns but it all averages out).There are high 3-star or 4-star options between $60 -$100. The 5-stars are anywhere from $ 300 to $ 600 and even higher. Food in India is about $10 per day. You can actually eat very cheap; but over a trip,with some nice dinners etc you'll find yourself spending that kind of money or more.

  1. As a tourist we all like to purchase good products but that state gives you the guarantee that you'll never be cheated. Singapore is a perfect tourist spot where you can find everything in a country. I stayed at Golden Landmark Hotel which is at the center of the city. It's worth it, for the scenery were really great.

  3. I must say, Thailand is considerably less expensive than Europe or the States. Almost cheaper to travel within South Africa for a local.

  4. I agree about the info you've posted about the Philippines. Among the exciting places to visit here are Boracay, Cebu, Bohol, and Palawan. of course, there are other fine destinations as well. You will be definitely greeted with people who understand and speak the English language as well as a generally jolly population eager to please.
